Just waiting…

I hate waiting! I am no good at waiting! But sometimes I must wait…

There is a simple phrase in Psalm 46 that says, “Be still and know that I am God”. It most often rattles around my head when things get frantic and I have to slow myself down and remember to take time to “be still” before Him. Today I will it to be a bit more frantic, because that means we are closer to “gotcha day”.

But God has a perfect plan. I can rest in that. Things are always moving forward in this process, whether I see it or not. And whether this process takes a year or 3, we will wait patiently for that little miracle that He is preparing for us and is preparing us for.

So this song (performed by Kari Jobe) will be my theme: Be Still my Soul. & I’m sure it will be my theme in much harder moments than these. Maybe it will be a comfort to you too.
